Why upgrade now?
Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system is approaching 10 years old, and Microsoft is withdrawing it across a variety of channels to focus on its currently supported Windows Vista and now Windows 7, and future development.
Accordingly, Dell will no longer be shipping Windows XP PCs from 1st July 2010, and shortly thereafter you will not be able to downgrade Windows 7 PCs to Windows XP either.
