Windows 7 - Are You Ready?
June 3rd, 2010Windows 7 is the latest operating system from Microsoft, building on the security and reliability of Windows Vista and compatibility and performance of Windows XP.
What does Windows 7 have to offer?
It can simplify everyday tasks, with features such as:
- Jump Lists – access recently used documents and files straight from the start menu or taskbar
- Aero Snap and Aero Peek – simplifies managing multiple windows; snap two windows side-by-side or combine multiple
- Windows Search – instant search across all documents and files on your PC, plus e-mails and attachments in Outlook
It works the way you want:
- Dependable and enterprise-grade reliability and dependability.
- Built from the ground up to be more secure than ever before in today’s internet-everywhere business environment.
- Full 64-bit support with outstanding application compatibility.
- Faster and enhanced performance in every area, from file sharing and copying to startup and shutdown.
Why upgrade now?
Microsoft’s Windows XP operating system is approaching 10 years old, and Microsoft is withdrawing it across a variety of channels to focus on its currently supported Windows Vista and now Windows 7, and future development.
Accordingly, Dell will no longer be shipping Windows XP PCs from 1st July 2010, and shortly thereafter you will not be able to downgrade Windows 7 PCs to Windows XP either.
As you may have heard through our Windows 7 Readiness Campaign, important upgrade and compatibility preparation needs to be completed on your network before Windows 7 can be deployed. So look out for our e-mail or speak to our Client Services team to ensure you are well prepared before July 1st.

January 27th, 2010Review of 2009 – Reasons to be cheerful?
December 17th, 2009We were recently quoted in the press about our views on the recession, credit crunch and a review of 2009.
“Despite the buzz surrounding cloud computing in 2009, it does not seem to be impacting the ‘M’ level of the SME. Small businesses understand and appreciate the cost saving benefits and large companies have the necessary skills and expertise to deploy it properly. However, medium-sized businesses like the comfort factor of keeping services in-house and controlling IT themselves..."
